CRITERIA: 

• Access to cold water pipe within 2m. 

If you aready have cold water to the outlet you are going to use the water heater for, then that is all you need. For completely new installations, or if you are at all unsure, give us a call on 01934 253600 to check - we'll be happy to advise.

• Suitable electrical spur within 2m 

Most small electric water heaters require less than 13Amp supply, so a standard ring main spur is fine, but do check whether your heater is more than 3Kw and if so, you may need a new cable from your consumer unit.

• Adequate room to install.

It may sound obvious, but especcially if you are intending to put the water heater under the sink in a cupboard, it is not unknown for there to be inadequate room to install it (especially if an expansion vessel is involved). Please check the height and diameter will fit comfortably (there is usually an additional amount of space required around the heater. This is listed in the installation manual but if you cannot find it let us know.
