Which Kangarillo Hand Dryer Should I Buy? - A Review

Handy Dryers now have 3 different types of Kangarillo hand dryers - all of which are extremely well-priced and represent great value for money. They are all of a similar (but different) shape, but inside, they offer different features and performance: so which one should you buy? There are multiple colour options available, each range offers a unique "best suited for" approach, we think that we should be able to help you define the best version for your particular needs. All of these, regardless of range, are available within 1-2 day delivery to UK Mainland addresses, and we aim to offer a host of expert advice from the consideration stage all the way through to installation and best usage.

In terms of their visual appearance, they are similar but different, and they are not all available in the same colour range:

Kangarillo - Fast Hand Dryers
Kangarillo Hand Dryer - Fast

The Kangarillo Fast is the first up in the Kangarillo range - able to offer fast hand drying at a reasonable price point for a wide array of users. In personal experience, this projects a high-paced airflow, the jet nozzle drys hands in under 15 seconds and really offers an effective washroom fit-out. The various colour options allow for this to suit a wide variety of washrooms. We see these often used in restaurants, pubs and clubs, able to perform a quality role in these environments. The seamless outer casing ensures vandal resistance and minimises the chance of damage, further supported by an extensive 2-year warranty with the 1st year being parts and labour on site. These dryers are backed by a whole host of testimonials - available on the Handy Dryers direct website,  and customer recommendations - summarised here, the hand dryers come:

' Thoroughly recommended ' & ' as efficient as other more expensive dryers ' - ABT Products Ltd

It comes in polished steel, white or black finishes - available here.

Kangarillo 2 ECO

The Kangarillo 2 ECO is very similar but has a more rounded front. The Kangarillo 2 Builds on the previous model, with an emphasis on Economic sustainability. This is one of the more effective upgrades, not compromising on speed or power and managing to reduce bills in design even further, allowing for a low running cost and minimising electrical demand and therefore environmental impact - these dryers can be found in schools, hospitals, public buildings, and anywhere, generally, that require the same great qualities as offered in the Fast range above, but with an increased focus on environmental impact and operational efficiency. These seamless cases are rugged,  durable, and offer vandal resistance in a manner that should allow a broad array of usage cases.  One core feature is the adjustable air temperature - which adapts on the fly to the room's current temperature and adjusts its air output accordingly, heating you up in the winter and reducing the heat output in the summer, saving money and ensuring quality and comfortability. Kangarillo 2 ECO Dryers are:

'proven to be a reliable and efficient product' and the 'product is second to none' GBK would 'recommend this product' - Meridian Electrical on behalf of GBK

It also comes in polished steel, white or black finishes available here.

Kangarillo Ultra

The Kangarillo Ultra has measurements similar to the above dryers but offers a more sculpted appearance. Operating at just a 750W motor, these units still manage to achieve the incredible top-of-the-range drying time of just 8-10 seconds. These dryers are built with nearly 2mm thick 304-grade stainless steel casings, some of the toughest units you could find on the market. These are wonderfully crafted to offer optimal corrosion and usage resistance and offer an antibacterial casing that's easy to clean and sanitise, making these perfect for hygiene facilities, restaurants, and any high-usage area where in which germs would otherwise spread easily. Handy Dryers Directly claims the wonderfully low operational noise of just 70dB - though we ourselves would refute this, recording a 79dB operating temperature, our measurements and Kangarillo's could be considered both accurate through specific installation location and experience. Certainly, these are quiet and effective units designed to suit many environments, making these dryers some of our personal favourites at the reasonable price point offered.

It comes in polished steel, as shown here, or brushed steel. Available here.

So this table gives you the detailed differences, but the most important ones are:

The Kangarillo 2 ECO and the Ultra both have an 'intelligent element' which senses the ambient air temperature and automatically switches the element on if required. This both saves energy and improves comfort levels.

The Kangarillo Ultra has a HEPA air filter which filters all the air blown onto your hands.

The Ultra also has a 3-year warranty (first-year parts and labour, years 2 and 3 parts only) compared to the 2-year warranty (first-year parts and labour, year 2 parts only) with the Fast and ECO models.
