Terms and Conditions for Electrical Deals Direct

If you have any questions about these terms and conditions please contact us as soon as possible and before any order is placed. By placing an order and purchasing goods from electricaldealsdirect.co.uk you enter into a legally binding agreement under the conditions below. Please read these terms carefully, and print and keep a copy of them for your reference.

Please note that Electrical Deals Direct is an online wholesaler and therefore deals mainly with the trade and businesses, but also with consumers. Different terms and conditions apply to these different categories of customer so please read the following terms carefully.

Making a contract with us

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order. In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this and offer you the opportunity to adjust or cancel your order.

How to place an order

The site has been designed to be as simple as possible to use. Browse the product range by selecting either a brand or a category you are interested in, and add any products you would like to purchase to you cart. When you have finished selecting products, click on ‘checkout’. You will then be asked for your delivery and contact details so we can complete your order.

The price and description of the goods you order will be as published on the site when your order is placed.

Payment

We accept online payment via Debit cards, Credit cards or Paypal. Debit cards and Credit cards payments are handled securely through a third-party company.

Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of anyone being able to read them as they are sent over the internet.

Should you need to pay over the phone, you can be assured that we never store your card security number, and process it as quickly as possible.

Security checks may be made by your credit card company or bank to confirm it is you making the order.

Confidentiality

The protection of your privacy and confidentiality is of utmost priority to us. Any personal information collected is used in strict compliance with the Data Protection Act 1988. We will never disclose, sell, or rent any information about you to a third party. We do not keep credit card or banking records of any of our customers.

Faulty/Damaged Goods (Consumers)

We put a great deal of time and effort into our inspection, packing, and delivery services, but in the unlikely event that any products arrive damaged in any way, please let us know immediately (within 48 hours). You have up to 30 days to return these goods, although in some circumstances it may be more convenient for things to be fixed at your premises, so please call us and we'll do our best to fix things in the fastest, most convenient way.

Cancellation and returns

Cancellation of any order incurs time, cost and inconvenience to all parties, so please do take care when ordering any products from Direct UK Deals Ltd. We do make great efforts to provide you with all the information you need to be able to make an informed purchase of the most suitable product for your needs, but if you are in any doubt whatsoever about measurements, capabilities or suitability of products, please do contact us to clarify any questions you have.

If you are a consumer:
You can cancel your contract at any time up to 14 days after the day of delivery. To do this, please email us at sales@electricaldealsdirect.co.uk. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation, but a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.
It is most important that before returning any goods you must contact us to obtain an Official Returns Number by emailing sales@electricaldealsdirect.co.uk : you will receive full instructions within 48 hours.
You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value. Of course, this cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights.
Providing the goods are received in good (resaleable) condition and the appropriate timescales and procedures have been adhered to, you will be refunded in full, including any postage fees paid as part of your original order, but excluding any logistics costs (including delivery charges) we have incurred. Special orders and non-stock finishes can incur restocking and/or returns fees.

If you are a business or have purchased on behalf of someone else or for resale:
You can cancel your contract at any time up to 14 calendar days after the day of delivery. To do this, please email us at sales@electricaldealsdirect.co.uk. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation, but a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense.
It is most important that before returning any goods you must contact us to obtain an Official Returns Number by emailing sales@electricaldealsdirect.co.uk : you will receive full instructions within 2 working days.
You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value. Of course, this cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights.
A standard restocking and handling charge of 25% will be charged for all returned orders, and Direct UK Deals reserves the right to pass on additional restocking fees for any product lines ordered directly from a supplier and therefore not usually held in stock by Direct UK Deals Ltd.
If returned products are not received in good (resale) condition, a fee will be charged to reflect the reduction in resale value. This value will be assessed entirely at the discretion of Direct UK Deals Ltd.
Any delivery charges paid as part of the original order will not be refunded. Nor will any logistics costs we have incurred.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.

Liability

The total liability of Electrical Deals Direct to you in respect of all claims arising out of or in connection with an Order shall not exceed the total sums received by Electrical Deals Direct for the purchases to which the Order relates.

WEEE

Direct UK Deals Ltd, under the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment regulations are pleased to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when you buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if you buy a new item within these regulations from us we will accept your old WEEE item and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. To do this, you MUST first obtain a 'WEEE Takeback code' by emailing sales@electricaldealsdirect.co.uk. You must return your WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchase of your new product.
