Anode Rods are an incredible component in water heaters. They are made with special reactive "sacrificial" components, such as zinc, aluminium, or magnesium. They are designed to be installed within the water tank, when water passes through, materials such as sediment or limescale will be attracted to the metals in the rod, in essence degrading the sacrificial rod instead of damaging the tank or speeding up rusting and corrosion. For further information on how these products work, check out this handy blog.
Anode rods are a great component for extending the lifespan of a water heater, most modern water heaters come with these equipped as standard, but due to their nature, these will degrade over time. Please find below a list of replacement Anode Rods.
