Electric Boilers for Central Heating
An electric flow boiler heats the water in your central heating system and pumps it round your radiators or underfloor pipes, just like a gas boiler, but with no gas supply, flue or oil tank. That makes it a practical choice for flats, new builds, extensions and homes off the gas grid.
The ranges we stock
- Heatrae Sadia Amptec: the C range for radiators (C400, C600, C900, C1100 and C1200) and the U range for underfloor heating, both from 4kW to 12kW.
- EHC Slim Jim: compact flow boilers at 4kW, 7kW, 10kW, 12kW and 14.4kW.
- Advance Appliances: EG6, EG9 and EG12 flow boilers, EG6U, EG9U and EG12U underfloor versions, and the Plug & Glow 2 mini boiler.
- Trianco Aztec Mini: electric system boilers at 8kW, 12kW and 14kW.
What size electric boiler do I need?
Match the boiler's output to the heat loss of the property. Larger outputs draw more current, so check your electricity supply with your electrician before choosing.
What about hot water?
A flow or system boiler heats your central heating only. For hot water, pair it with an unvented cylinder, or choose an electric combi boiler that does both. If you only need hot water, see our electric water heaters.
