The UV lamp should be replaced periodically — as a general guide, around once a year — to maintain peak purification. Output falls gradually over time even while the lamp still lights, so regular replacement keeps the unit working as intended.
Which Biozone UV lamp do I need?
It depends on your unit. The AC10, AC20 and AC30 each take their own lamp, so identify your model from its label and order the matching lamp. If you're unsure, send us the model number or a photo and we'll confirm the right one.
Can I use a non-genuine replacement lamp?
We'd advise against it. Look-alike lamps may fit the fitting, but the Biozone lamp is a patented design and non-original versions typically won't produce the same purification effect — so it's a false economy. We supply genuine Biozone lamps only.
