About Hotun Parts
Hotun is a UK-made range of dry trap tundishes from RA Tech UK Ltd. A tundish connects the discharge from a temperature and pressure relief valve to the internal waste or soil pipe, so Hotun combines the tundish and the trap in one unit, removing the need for an external discharge. Its non-return odour seal stops foul smells and sewer gases entering the property, and the open-sided design lets you see discharge or a small residual puddle of water without dismantling the pipework, which makes fault diagnosis quick. The range is WRAS approved and rated for temperatures up to 120°C. Because a tundish is part of the safety discharge arrangement on an unvented system, it needs to be the correct size and type for the appliance it serves.

Common Hotun Parts We Stock
- 15mm x 22mm dry trap tundishes — Hiflo 12 litres per minute tundishes in black or white, for smaller relief valve discharges
- 15mm x 32mm dry trap tundishes — 18 litres per minute tundishes in black or white, for higher volume discharges such as large unvented cylinders, including slip fit versions with a push-fit inlet
- 22mm x 32mm XL slip fit tundish — a larger slip fit tundish for 22mm relief valve discharge pipework
- Tundish shields — removable ventilated shields that fit onto the tundish
- Hotun Detect alarm units — an in-tundish audible and visual alarm that warns when a relief valve is passing water
How to Find the Right Hotun Part
Hotun tundishes are matched by pipe size, flow rate and connection type, so start by checking the discharge pipe size from your relief valve (15mm or 22mm) and the waste pipe size you're connecting to (22mm or 32mm). Choose the Hiflo 15mm x 32mm range for large unvented cylinders and higher flow rates, and make sure the colour, black or white, suits the installation. Slip fit tundishes use a push-fit connection and aren't compatible with solvent weld fittings. If you're not sure which part you need, use our Can't Identify Your Spare Part? service, or send our trade counter team the model number or a photo of the old component and we'll match it for you.

Hotun Parts — Frequently Asked Questions
What is a dry trap tundish?
A dry trap tundish takes the discharge from a temperature and pressure relief valve and connects it to the internal waste pipe, with a built-in non-return seal that keeps odours out of the building. It removes the need to run a separate external discharge pipe.
Which Hotun tundish size do I need?
This depends on your relief valve discharge pipe and the waste pipe you're connecting to. Our range covers 15mm x 22mm, 15mm x 32mm and 22mm x 32mm, and the Hiflo 15mm x 32mm suits large unvented cylinders with higher flow rates.
What does Hotun Detect do?
Hotun Detect is an alarm unit that sits inside the tundish and gives an audible and visual warning when the relief valve is passing water. That gives early notice of a fault so it can be fixed before the system fails completely.
Is the Hotun tundish WRAS approved?
Yes — the Hotun dry trap tundish range is WRAS approved and rated for use up to 120°C.
Can I fit a tundish myself?
A tundish forms part of the safety discharge arrangement on an unvented system, which is covered by Building Regulations Part G3. Fitting and any changes to discharge pipework should be carried out by a competent, appropriately qualified installer.
