The Baxi 5130293 Ignition/Ionisation Electrode Kit is a part responsible for both igniting the burner and detecting flame presence during operation. This dual-purpose component plays a critical safety role in modern gas boilers—initiating combustion with a controlled spark and confirming that the flame is stable and sustained. If the flame is not detected, the boiler will lock out to prevent unsafe conditions, making this part essential to proper function.
