Specifically designed for use in a broad range of Baxi and Potterton models—including Duo‑tec & Duo‑tec ErP, Platinum & Platinum ErP, Main Eco Elite & ErP, Gold & ErP, Heatmax, Promax & Promax ErP—the assembly maintains water pressure integrity and precise directional control between hot water and heating circuits. Functionally, this valve relies on hydraulic signals (and sometimes motorisation) to shift the hot water flow path based on user demand. When a tap is opened, it directs water toward the hot water circuit; when the heating is called for, it reroutes the flow to the central heating loop. This internal switching mechanism is critical to a combi boiler's efficiency and seamless user experience.
