Genuine Cimm ACS CE 18 18 Litre Expansion Vessel
Genuine Cimm ACS CE 18 18 litre expansion vessel for potable (sanitary) hot and cold water systems, with a 3/4" BSP male connection and a 2.5 bar factory pre-charge.
What it does
Water expands as it is heated. In a sealed potable system that expansion has nowhere to go, so pressure climbs until the relief valve discharges and the system loses water. The vessel holds a cushion of air behind a membrane that takes up the extra volume and keeps pressure steady. The ACS membrane is made to DIN 4807, is interchangeable rather than fixed, and is separated from the tank wall by a polypropylene cover approved for sanitary use, so the stored water never touches bare steel.
Where it fits
Potable hot and cold water systems, unvented hot water cylinders and pressurisation sets; absorbs the expansion of the system water so pressure stays within limits; 18 litre, 3/4" BSP male connection, 2.5 bar pre-charge, 10.0 bar maximum.
