The 95611025 is the genuine Heatrae Sadia sealing gasket that sits between an immersion heater flange and the boss on the cylinder or calorifier it screws into.
What it does
An immersion element enters the vessel through a threaded or bolted boss, and the gasket is the only thing making that joint watertight under working pressure. It is a consumable: once compressed and heat-cycled it takes a set, so it will not reseal reliably if it is reused after the element has been withdrawn.
When to fit one
- Every time an immersion heater or element is removed, for any reason
- When replacing a failed element - fit the new gasket with it, never the old one
- Where the existing joint is weeping or showing scale tracks around the flange
- After any inspection that involves breaking the element joint
Compatible models
Used across Heatrae Sadia Megaflo and Flexistor cylinders and on Commercial Calorifiers and Industrial Cylinders in direct, indirect and solar configurations. Immersion boss sizes vary across the Heatrae Sadia range, so confirm the gasket part number against the element you are fitting rather than the cylinder model alone.
Installation
Where the vessel is an unvented cylinder, work on it requires a G3 qualified operative under Building Regulations Part G. Drain to below the element before breaking the joint, fit the gasket dry unless the element instructions say otherwise, and tighten evenly to the manufacturer's figure.
