Genuine Instanta SV202SP Safety Valve (25 PSI)
The Instanta SV202SP is a genuine OEM safety valve (25 PSI) for Instanta commercial water boilers and boiling-water taps. Instanta describe it as a pressure safety valve - set at 25psi. It is supplied as an original manufacturer part, not a pattern equivalent.
What it does
The valve controls water moving into or out of the unit. On these boilers a solenoid valve is held open electrically on demand from the control board, so a failure here is either mechanical (a stuck or scaled seat) or electrical (an open or shorted coil).
Signs the valve has failed
- The unit will not fill, or fills continuously
- Water dispensing when it has not been called for
- A buzzing or humming valve that does not open
- Weeping or dripping from the valve body or its connections

Fitting
Isolate the unit electrically and from the water supply, and allow it to cool and drain down before removing the old part. Fitting by a competent engineer is recommended. No gas or G3 qualification applies to these units.
