Genuine Instanta TAPB1SP Silicone Tap Boot
The Instanta TAPB1SP is a genuine OEM silicone tap boot for Instanta commercial water boilers and boiling-water taps. It is supplied as an original manufacturer part, not a pattern equivalent.
What it does
The seal keeps a joint watertight. Silicone and rubber seals harden, flatten and perish with repeated heat cycling, so they are a routine service item rather than a fault part - it is good practice to renew the seal whenever the joint it sits on is disturbed.
Signs the seal needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint
- Puddling underneath or behind the unit
- Steam escaping around the tank lid or cover
- A seal that is visibly hardened, flattened, split or perished
Compatible models
Fits Instanta CTS 3/5/11/13/17. Instanta also list the TAPB1SP against the CTS3, CTS11F, CTS17F, CTS5 and CTS13SL SureFlow counter-top boilers. Fitting
Isolate the unit electrically and from the water supply, and allow it to cool and drain down before removing the old part. Fitting by a competent engineer is recommended. No gas or G3 qualification applies to these units.
