Genuine Instanta WBA501SP Fibre Washer For Drain
The Instanta WBA501SP is a genuine OEM fibre washer for Instanta commercial water boilers and boiling-water taps. It is supplied as an original manufacturer part, not a pattern equivalent.
What it does
The seal keeps a joint watertight. Silicone and rubber seals harden, flatten and perish with repeated heat cycling, so they are a routine service item rather than a fault part - it is good practice to renew the seal whenever the joint it sits on is disturbed.
Signs the seal needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint
- Puddling underneath or behind the unit
- Steam escaping around the tank lid or cover
- A seal that is visibly hardened, flattened, split or perished
Compatible models
Fits Instanta WMS 2/5/10; WMSP 3/7/15/25. Instanta also list the WBA501SP against the WMSP15, WMSP3W, WMSP7W, WMSP7, WMSP156, WMSP25, WMSP3 and WMSP256 SureFlow Plus wall-mounted boilers; WMS2, WMS5 and WMS10 SureFlow wall-mounted boilers. Fitting
Isolate the unit electrically and from the water supply, and allow it to cool and drain down before removing the old part. Fitting by a competent engineer is recommended. No gas or G3 qualification applies to these units.
