Genuine Instanta XEN1751.5SP Heating Element 1.5kW
The Instanta XEN1751.5SP is a genuine OEM heating element 1.5kW for Instanta commercial water boilers and boiling-water taps. It is supplied as an original manufacturer part, not a pattern equivalent.
What it does
The element is what actually heats the water in the tank. It is an immersed resistive heater controlled by the thermostat and protected by the thermal cut-out. Elements are a wear item in commercial use, and in hard water areas scale build-up is the usual cause of failure because it insulates the element and drives its surface temperature up.
Signs the element has failed
- Slow reheat, or no hot water at all
- The boiler trips the RCD or the circuit breaker
- Heavy scale, blistering or burn marks on the element
- The over-boil cut-out operating repeatedly

Fitting
This is an electrical component inside a mains-powered appliance. Isolate the boiler at the supply and allow it to cool before removing any panel. Replacement by a competent engineer or a qualified electrician is recommended. No gas or G3 qualification applies to these units.
