Genuine Instanta XEN400SP On/Off Switch
The Instanta XEN400SP is a genuine OEM on/off switch for Instanta commercial water boilers and boiling-water taps. It is supplied as an original manufacturer part, not a pattern equivalent.
What it does
This is an electrical fitting on the control side of the boiler. It carries or switches the supply between the control board and the components it drives. Because it is handled or heat-cycled in normal use, it wears independently of the board itself, and a fault here can look exactly like a failed board.
Signs the fitting has failed
- The unit does not power up, or only powers up when the part is nudged
- An indicator or lamp that no longer lights
- A switch that feels loose or sticky, or no longer latches
- Scorching, melting or discolouration around the terminals

Fitting
This is an electrical component inside a mains-powered appliance. Isolate the boiler at the supply and allow it to cool before removing any panel. Replacement by a competent engineer or a qualified electrician is recommended. No gas or G3 qualification applies to these units.
