Genuine Instanta XTP500RTB Complete Tap With Silicone boot For CPF & CT Range
The Instanta XTP500RTB is a genuine OEM complete tap with silicone boot for Instanta commercial water boilers and boiling-water taps. It is supplied as an original manufacturer part, not a pattern equivalent.
What it does
The seal keeps a joint watertight. Silicone and rubber seals harden, flatten and perish with repeated heat cycling, so they are a routine service item rather than a fault part - it is good practice to renew the seal whenever the joint it sits on is disturbed.
Signs the seal needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the joint
- Puddling underneath or behind the unit
- Steam escaping around the tank lid or cover
- A seal that is visibly hardened, flattened, split or perished
Compatible models
Fits Instanta CPF & CT Range. Instanta also list the XTP500RTB against the CTSP19HT6, CTSP10, CTSP10H, CTSP17T, CTSP27T6, CTSP11H6 and CTSP19T6 SureFlow Plus counter-top boilers; CTSV36T9 and CTSV50T9 SureFlow high-volume counter-top boilers. Fitting
Isolate the unit electrically and from the water supply, and allow it to cool and drain down before removing the old part. Fitting by a competent engineer is recommended. No gas or G3 qualification applies to these units.
