The Reliance CORE215003 pressure relief valve core unit is designed for use in unvented hot water systems, providing essential safety protection by discharging excess pressure when system limits are exceeded. Featuring 22mm and 3/4" connections with a 4 port configuration, this valve is rated at 8 bar and is intended for integration within multi-function control valve assemblies.
Pressure relief valves are critical components in sealed systems, preventing dangerous pressure build-up that could damage cylinders, pipework, or associated components. The 4 port core unit design allows it to be installed within combination valves commonly used in unvented cylinders and heating systems. Over time, internal valve components can be affected by scale, wear, or repeated operation, which may lead to reduced performance or leakage. Replacing the core unit restores proper pressure regulation, ensures continued system safety, and maintains compliance with installation standards. Installation should always be carried out by a suitably qualified professional in accordance with current regulations.
