The Vaillant 0020213146 Diverter Valve is a high-quality OEM component designed for use in Vaillant combi boilers, including models within the ecoFIT Pure, Home, and Sustain ranges. Its role is to control the flow of heated water within the boiler, diverting it either to the radiators for central heating or to the taps for domestic hot water, depending on demand. When working correctly, the diverter valve ensures smooth switching between heating and hot water functions. However, over time, internal seals and moving parts can wear or stick, causing symptoms such as intermittent hot water, lukewarm taps, or heating that remains on even when hot water is being used. In some cases, visible leaks or strange hydraulic noises may also occur.
