The BC0401 motor is an earlier‑generation Warner Howard motor unit, used in selected commercial hand dryers before the introduction of the newer BC1176 motor. It is a complete motor assembly, including the armature, field coil, and integrated fan impeller (depending on model).
This motor is designed for 220–240V AC operation and is built for high‑traffic commercial washrooms such as offices, schools, leisure centres, and public facilities. As with all Warner Howard motors, the BC0401 is engineered for long service life but will eventually require replacement due to brush wear, bearing fatigue, or airflow degradation.
Because Warner Howard dryers are widely installed across the UK, the BC0401 remains a commonly requested spare for older units still in service.
