The BC1175 is the infrared proximity sensor used inside selected Warner Howard and Intelligent Hand Dryers. This sensor detects hands beneath the dryer and signals the main PCB to activate the motor and heater. It is a direct‑fit replacement for dryers in the BC‑series family and is commonly replaced when units fail to start, run intermittently, or activate without hands present.
This part sits behind the dryer’s front cover (e.g., BC0142 polished chrome or 16401499 white), and connects directly to the main PCB (e.g., BC2625). Because Warner Howard dryers are widely used in UK commercial washrooms, the BC1175 is a frequent maintenance spare for facilities teams.
