The Ariston 60000868-01 is a genuine replacement ignition electrode for a range of Ariston gas boilers. The ignition electrode creates the high-voltage spark that ignites the gas burner on demand. A faulty ignition electrode typically presents as the boiler locking out on ignition failure, the appliance attempts to fire, fails to establish a flame, and locks out, displaying a fault code. Common causes of electrode failure include carbon build-up, cracking of the ceramic insulator, or a worn electrode tip. This is typically identified during a boiler service or in response to intermittent or complete ignition lockouts. Installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe-registered engineer. This part fits 19 models across the Clas HE EVO, E-Combi EVO, E-System EVO and Genus HE ranges.
