What it does
The flue NTC monitors the temperature of the flue gases, so the PCB can shut the boiler down if they run too hot.
Signs it needs replacing
A flue temperature or sensor fault code, or a boiler that locks out when running hot, can indicate a failed flue NTC. Check its resistance with a meter.
