Electric Combi-Boilers
An electric combi boiler is identical to a gas combi boiler, except it is powered solely by electricity. A combi boiler provides both the central heating system and high-efficiency hot water.
Electric combi boilers are a great alternative to a gas boiler because they do not require a flue. In some buildings, there may not be appropriate access to install a flue and in other buildings, it may be a costly process for this installation, for example, a block of flats where the flue needs to be installed on a top floor flat.
Installation costs of an electric combi boiler would be similar to a standard gas equivalent, however, there are often additional charges associated with gas boilers. In addition, electric combi boilers are often cheaper in the long run because they are more reliable. Electric combi boilers have very few parts and this means minimal maintenance and as a result much fewer costs long term.

Safety is also a key benefit as an electric combi-boiler does not produce any harmful emissions such as carbon monoxide. They also can be less expensive to install than gas boilers as there is no need for flue or gas pipework. Furthermore, they are versatile and can be used in various types of properties, including those without a connection to the gas network. However, it's worth noting that the running costs can be higher than gas boilers as electricity is generally more expensive. Additionally, they may not be suitable for larger households with high hot water demand.
