How Eco Plus differs from Megaflo Eco
- Bigger sizes: 250 to 570 litres, where the standard Eco stops at 300.
- More heating power: direct models carry four 3kW immersion heaters, and indirect models use a large-surface coil for faster heat-up from the boiler.
- Separate expansion vessel: unlike most Megaflo Eco cylinders, Eco Plus uses an external expansion vessel, which comes supplied with mounting.
- Thicker insulation on larger sizes: 60mm on the 250 and 300 litre models, 100mm from 400 litres up.
To get the flow Eco Plus is designed for, Heatrae recommends a mains supply pipe of 28mm or larger. If your property needs something smaller, the Megaflo Eco covers 70 to 300 litres.
