It is generally trust that you get what you pay for, and with hand dryers, it pays to know why.
Some brands cost more purely for the name. Others offer genuinely better value than you'd expect. What matters most is matching the dryer to how it'll actually be used: a budget dryer might be perfect for low-traffic washrooms, but put it in a 24-hour non-stop environment and it'll struggle. Eventually costing you more in replacements over time.
That said, you probably already have a figure in mind, and if it's fixed, that's fine as it'll shape the shortlist either way. Here's roughly what each price bracket gets you:
Under £100 - The entry-level category. Find for low-usage settings but don't expect top-tier components or performance
£100-£400 - Quality steps up noticeably as you move through this range. Dryers at the top end comfortable handle high footfalls and often come with features like switchable heat settings and air filtration
£400+ - Built for high-usage environements, and for washrooms where design and image matter as much as performance.
