Pre-plumbed or not?

Some brands and types of hot water cylinders are offered with ‘pre-plumbed’ options (this only ever applies to indirect cylinders because there is nothing much to pre-plumb to a direct cylinder). Choosing a cylinder which is pre-plumbed will usually be more expensive to purchase, but will save time (and therefore hopefully money) on the installation.

The other benefit is that because the connection are all made at the factory, you can be sure they are all both high quality, and correct.
