The Ideal 173511 Detection Lead is specified wiring harness used to connect the flame detector (often a flame probe or ionisation sensor) to the boiler’s control electronics. Its purpose is to carry the very low-level electrical signal generated by the flame sensor, enabling the boiler’s control board to verify that the burner has successfully lit and is producing a stable flame. Because this signal is delicate, the detection lead is engineered with insulation and conductor quality that minimise electrical interference and resist heat, vibration, and boiler operating conditions. Over time, detection leads can become brittle, cracked, or corroded due to exposure to heat and moisture, which can lead to intermittent flame detection, false lockouts, or ignition errors. Replacing a worn or faulty lead with the genuine Ideal 173511 Detection Lead restores proper signal transmission, supports safe flame monitoring, and helps maintain dependable and efficient boiler operation.
Electrical Deals Direct now sells a wide range of spare parts. If you cannot see the item you require on our website, please call 01934 253600 or email [email protected] for more information.
