The Ideal 175417 Plate Heat Exchanger Kit 24 kW is an authentic replacement heat exchanger assembly engineered specifically for compatible 24 kW Ideal combi and system boilers. This kit contains the vital plate pack and associated seals needed to complete the replacement and ensure correct fit and performance.
A plate heat exchanger is a core component in the boiler’s hot water delivery system. It works by passing the boiler’s heated primary water over a series of closely spaced metal plates while the domestic cold water flows between them in a separate channel. This design creates a large surface area for heat transfer without mixing the two water circuits, allowing hot water to be produced quickly and efficiently when a tap is opened.
