The Ideal 179020/918319 Diverter Valve Paddle and Body Kit is designed to regulate the flow of heated water within compatible Ideal combination boilers. When your boiler transitions between heating the radiators and producing domestic hot water, the diverter valve redirects the boiler’s output to the correct circuit. This kit includes both the paddle (the internal moving element that changes flow direction) and the body (the housing that guides and supports the paddle), engineered precisely to Ideal’s specifications for smooth, low-friction movement and leak-free operation.
A properly functioning diverter valve ensures that when a tap is turned on, the system prioritises hot water delivery, and when there’s a demand for central heating, the flow is routed accordingly without crossover.
