What it does
This board is part of the boiler's control system. It reads the temperature and level sensors, switches the heating circuit, drives the display or push buttons, and holds the operating logic for the unit. A fault on the control side usually shows itself as a dead or unresponsive unit rather than a water leak.
Signs of a control fault
- The unit is dead, or the display does not light
- The boiler powers up but never calls for heat
- Error codes, flashing indicators or an unresponsive keypad
- Intermittent operation that clears briefly on a power cycle
