The McAlpine Scale Defender Refill Cartridges are designed for use with the McAlpine Scale Defender system. Each McAlpine Scale Defender Refill Kit contains two refill cartridges for seamless replenishment of the Scale Defender unit.
- Connections: ¾” Male BSP with 15mm & 22mm fittings
- Weight: 0.41kg
- Working pressure: 0.5 – 10 Bar
- Test Pressure: 25 Bar
- Temperature range: 1˚C – 40˚C
- Water flow rate: Max 3000 L/hr
- Pressure loss head max: ± 0.3 Bar
- Lifetime dosing cartridge: Up to 40,000 Litres
- Lifetime prefilter: Easy Clean
McAlpine Scale Defender can save hundreds of pounds as it keeps your heating system more efficient and helps prolong the life of pipes, fittings and appliances. McAlpine Scale Defender should be fitted by a plumber, but at between 45–60 mins to fit it should only be an hour's call out. Thereafter, it is easy to replace the cartridges, and the system requires no ongoing maintenance.

Having to return a product because it doesn’t fit, or is not what you wanted, is really annoying! To try and make sure this isn’t necessary we have lots of helpful advice on our site, and you should feel free to call our experts on the number above to check if you are in any doubt at all – we’re always happy to help.
But if you do, don’t worry, just contact us and we’ll get it sorted (note that for trade customers there may be a restocking fee). If you need it, we can usually arrange the carrier to pick it up.
