The 27-inch Incoloy immersion heater is a complete hot water heating solution designed for use in deeper domestic hot water cylinders. Supplied with an adjustable thermostat and copper pocket, this unit provides reliable and efficient water heating, whether used as a primary or backup heat source.
The extended 27" length allows the element to reach further into the cylinder, ensuring a larger volume of water is heated more evenly. This makes it particularly suitable for taller or high-capacity cylinders, where shorter elements may leave unused cold zones.
At the core of the unit is a robust Incoloy heating element, specifically chosen for its excellent resistance to limescale and corrosion. In hard water areas, standard copper elements can quickly accumulate scale, reducing efficiency and lifespan. Incoloy significantly reduces this issue, helping maintain consistent heating performance over time.
The included thermostat provides precise temperature control, automatically regulating the element to maintain the desired water temperature while preventing overheating. Housed within a copper pocket, the thermostat is accurately positioned to measure water temperature effectively and respond quickly to changes.
Key Features:
Length: 27 inches (ideal for deep cylinders)
Type: Immersion heater with thermostat & copper pocket
Power Rating: Typically 3kW (standard domestic supply)
Element Material: Incoloy – superior resistance to limescale and corrosion
Thermostat: Adjustable with built-in safety cut-out
Complete kit: Heater element, thermostat, and copper pocket included
Designed for: Domestic hot water cylinders
Installation: Qualified electrician or competent installer recommended
Applications:
Deep or high-capacity hot water cylinders
Replacement for existing long immersion heaters
Backup heating source alongside boiler systems
Properties in hard water areas where durability is essential
Why Choose a 27" Incoloy Immersion Heater:
A longer element provides better heat distribution in taller cylinders, while Incoloy construction ensures durability:
Heats a greater volume of water evenly
Reduces cold spots within the cylinder
Highly resistant to limescale build-up
Longer lifespan compared to standard copper elements
Maintains efficiency over time
