The Vaillant 091258 ZIG Ignitor is a genuine ignition module used in compatible Vaillant boilers to initiate the gas combustion process. When the boiler calls for heat or hot water, the ignitor delivers a controlled spark (or glows, depending on design) that lights the burner, enabling the boiler to fire up. A faulty ignitor can lead to ignition failure, repeated attempts to light, or complete inability of the boiler to start — resulting in no heat or hot water.
