Radiators or underfloor heating?

The Premier Heat was one boiler for both jobs: it ran radiators as standard, and could run underfloor heating with a thermostat controlling the circuit temperature. The Amptec range splits these into two purpose-built versions:

  • Amptec C models (C400, C600, C900, C1100, C1200) are for central heating with radiators.
  • Amptec U models (U401, U601, U901, U1101, U1201) are for underfloor heating.

Check you are ordering the right letter for your system. If you are not sure, ask your installer or call us before you buy.

Sizing

As a rule of thumb, allow about 1kW of output per radiator, or about 100 watts per square metre of underfloor heating. Larger homes can link more than one boiler using an Amptec relay kit (RL1, RL2 or RL3).

Making installation quicker

We recommend fitting an Amptec with our pump and expansion vessel kit for flow boilers. It gives your installer everything needed to fit the boiler straight away, which keeps installation time, and the cost of your plumber's time, to a minimum.
