The Warner Howard Airstream, (which comes with a PHS badge because Warner Howard are part of the PHS group) is a new addition to the extensive range of hand dryers which make Warner Howard one of the most respected names in the hand dryer world.

The Airstream has clearly been carefully thought about in terms of its market positioning and competitive strengths. With all of the fuss around low power consumption and short dry times, and all the research and development cash which so many companies must be pouring into this area, it is remarkable that this dryer appears to have pulled off quite a coup: the bottom line is that is has the lowest running costs of any hand dryer we have come across (by quite a long way).

At the same time, the Warner Howard 3-year on-site warranty should give everyone the confidence in its reliability. It's hard to find a downside really - the only one we could think of is the fact that, in common with other dryers in this category, it does not have a heating element and so the air temperature will be the same as the ambient air temperature in the washroom. And the motor will not generate much if any extra heat, because of the low power consumption, but this will not adversely affect the drying time because most water is pushed off the hands rather than evaporated through heating. In some situations it might be a 'comfort factor' you may want to consider. Also, there are no 'bells & whistles' on this dryer: no adjustable temperature, no air fresheners, no HEPA filtration (although it does have (c) Steritouch antibacterial coating) and no fancy lights.

We would summarise it by saying it is a serious, high quality hand dryer with exceptional financial performance, and anyone considering other hand dryers such as the Dyson Airblade AB08 or the Excel XLerator, should be giving the new Warner Howard Airforce hand dryer very serious consideration indeed.
