Ariston Water Heating

Ariston builds point-of-use electric water heaters: the water is heated where it is drawn, so there is no long pipe run losing heat on the way to the tap and no central cylinder being kept hot for a single basin. We stock the range from the 6 litre Andris Lux Europrisma up to the 100 litre Pro 1 ECO unvented cylinder, in both oversink and undersink versions, alongside the wifi-controlled Andris Elite, the slim Velis cylinders and the Aures instantaneous heater for hand washing.

Choose capacity first, then decide whether the unit sits above or below the sink. There is a sizing guide below the products, and the team takes calls on 01934 253600.

Ariston Andris Lux water heaters

Ariston Water Heaters

Ariston has been making small electric water heaters for the UK market for decades, and the range covers most of what a sink, a cloakroom or a small commercial washroom needs. Capacities run from 6 litres for a single hand basin up to 100 litres for a flat or a small office, with 2 kW, 2.5 kW and 3 kW elements depending on how quickly you need the tank back up to temperature.

All of them are unvented and run at mains pressure, so flow at the tap matches the cold supply rather than dropping away as a gravity-fed system does.

Ariston Andris Lux Water Heaters

The Andris Lux Europrisma is the workhorse of the range: 6, 10, 15 and 30 litres, oversink or undersink, with a titanium-enamelled tank. It suits any point where hot water is needed but extending the main system to reach it is not practical. The Andris Elite is the same idea with wifi control and a 2.5 kW element, so the schedule and temperature can be set from an app.

Pro 1 ECO and Velis Water Heaters

Where a single sink heater is not enough, the Pro 1 ECO unvented cylinders at 50, 80 and 100 litres will serve a flat or a small office with no gas supply. The Velis range does the same job in a flat, slim casing that mounts horizontally or vertically, which is the one to reach for when the only available wall is a shallow one.

Which size do I need?

A cloakroom or ensuite basin is comfortable on 10 litres, and that size will serve two or three basins without trouble. Choose 15 litres for a larger kitchen sink or several basins drawing together, and 30 litres for workshops and commercial kitchens where more than one sink is in use at once.

Approved Document G treats a storage vessel of 15 litres or less as non-notifiable work, so the 6, 10 and 15 litre units can be fitted without notifying building control. The 30 litre model and the Pro 1 ECO and Velis cylinders sit above that threshold and need a G3 qualified installer.
