The Grant VBS05 Turbulator is a genuine Grant spare part designed to maintain optimal combustion efficiency in a range of Grant oil-fired boilers. Sold individually, this 360mm baffle insert sits within the boiler's heat exchanger flue ways, disrupting and slowing the flow of hot combustion gases to maximise heat transfer to the system water, a critical factor in achieving the boiler's rated efficiency and keeping flue gas temperatures within acceptable limits.
Compatible models include the Vortex Pro Combi, Vortex Pro 15–46kW, Vortex Eco, and Vortex Boiler House 15–46kW. Always refer to the boiler's service manual or the Grant spares catalogue to confirm compatibility with the specific model and output being worked on before ordering.
As a genuine Grant OEM component, the VBS05 is manufactured to the exact dimensions and material specification of the original factory-fitted part, ensuring a correct fit and reliable performance throughout its service life. Turbulators should be inspected at every annual service and replaced if showing signs of distortion, corrosion, or physical damage. A degraded turbulator can reduce heat exchanger efficiency, increase fuel consumption, and contribute to sooting of the heat exchanger surfaces.
Supplied as a single unit, the VBS05 is an essential addition to any OFTEC-registered engineer's stock when servicing Grant Vortex oil boilers, and represents straightforward, cost-effective preventative maintenance that protects both boiler performance and long-term reliability.
