The Ideal 179052 Harness Timer Link – Genuine Ideal Spare is an authentic replacement wiring harness component used in certain Ideal boiler models to maintain correct electrical connectivity and timing signals between the boiler’s control board and other timed or sequenced components. In modern boilers, timer links and harnesses are critical for ensuring that functions such as ignition sequencing, pump control, fan start delays, and safety interlocks occur in the correct order and at the right moment. The harness timer link provides a secure, integrated pathway for these signals, helping to prevent miscommunication between circuits and maintain smooth, coordinated operation.
Manufactured to exacting OEM standards, this harness is constructed with quality connectors, appropriately rated wiring insulation, and secure fixings to withstand the thermal and vibration stresses present inside a boiler cabinet. Over time, harnesses and links can suffer from wear, cable fatigue, corrosion at contacts, or damage from heat exposure, which can lead to intermittent faults, error codes, or failures in timed operations. Replacing a worn or faulty timer harness with the genuine Ideal 179052 Harness Timer Link restores correct signal continuity, supports reliable timing functions, and helps maintain the boiler’s overall reliability and electrical safety.
This part should be installed by a qualified engineer who can verify correct seating of connectors and confirm proper operation of associated timed functions within the boiler control system.
