Genuine Kingspan 24317 range tribune xe immersion thermostat for Range Tribune cylinders. Kingspan Range Tribune XE unvented hot water cylinders, direct and indirect alike, including the solar and pre-plumbed versions - every Tribune XE carries an immersion thermostat.
What it does
The Tribune XE carries its controls in a single enclosure on the front of the cylinder, and inside it there are two thermostats doing different jobs. The one on the RIGHT controls the electric immersion heater. The one on the LEFT, fitted only to indirect cylinders, switches the controls for the primary heat exchanger so the boiler knows when the stored water needs reheating. Their probes are not interchangeable in practice either: the immersion thermostat sits in the upper pocket on the immersion heater and the primary one in the lower pocket. A cylinder that will not reheat, or one that overheats and trips its high limit, usually points at the thermostat rather than the heat source.
