Genuine Kingspan SSPOCKET Stainless Steel Thermostat Pocket
Genuine Kingspan SSPOCKET stainless steel thermostat pocket. Kingspan unvented hot water cylinders that carry the thermostat or high limit sensor in a pocket rather than in the immersion heater head.
What it does
A thermostat pocket is the dry sheath the sensor bulb sits inside. It lets the thermostat read the stored water temperature without touching it, and it means a failed thermostat can be withdrawn and replaced without draining the cylinder down. A corroded or split pocket has to be replaced rather than patched, because it is what keeps stored water off the sensor and out of the enclosure.
