The JETBOX Blade is the best value hands in blade dryer on the market. At an excellent £249 ex VAT it is the cheapest blade dryer on the market, but this doesn't mean there is any compromise on the performance. With an impressive drying time of 10-12 seconds, this matches any hands in dryer on the market.
This Hand dryer is a very powerful blade dryer that has an airspeed of 201 mph generating 2 compressed strips of air which gives the JETBOX Blade its fast drying time. The noise output on this is very low with a rating of 70-75dB, which makes it one of the quietest hands in dryers in its class.
It is a very compact hands in dryer with dimensions of: H - 566mm x W - 296mm x D - 164mm. 2 year warranty. HEPA filter.
Dry Time:
The dryer uses blades of air which travel at over 200 mph. This gives a quick drying time. The manufacturers state around 10 seconds, and although drying times from manufacturers are always a little suspect (because there is no standard methodology used for the measurement) there is no question this is a fast dryer.
Noise Level:
All modern hand dryers are a lot noisier than the old generation of technology, because they rely on very fast motors. However, the Jetbox Blade is substantially quieter than the Dyson Airblade, and can be turned down even further if required by cutting the motor speed. This makes it very adaptable to lots of different environments.
Power Consumption:
As well as being able to turn down the motor setting, it is also possible to switch down the heater element. Ideal as a summer setting or in very well heated washrooms, this saves even more power.
Hygiene:
To avoid water being blasted off hands onto the washroom floor, the Blade comes with a removable tray which collects the water. If it performs 50 dries per day, you’re probably looking at having to empty this only every 2 or 3 weeks.
Also, the Blade comes with a HEPA air filter which scrubs the air before blowing it onto your hands, but as a really interesting extra feature, it subjects that filter to an internal sterilising UV light to kill any bacteria.
The JETBOX Blade comes with a 2 year warranty, covering both parts and labour.
So our opinion of the JETBOX Blade is that for low - medium usage (i.e. the majority of hand dryer locations in the UK), this blade hand dryer stands out against the competition as an ideal choice. Unlike some of the other blade hand dryers available today, it also has a modern design, helped by the neutral black and white colours, and the LED indicators on the top.
