The JETBOX Blade hand dryer is a 'hands-in' (rather than 'hands-under') type of dryer which has a stylish and anti-splash design. Electrically, it uses 1650 watts, it is quiet, well-performing, and has a quick drying time.

Although it is priced at well under half of its high-end competition, it stands up extremely well if you compare the features side by side. For example, compared to the Dyson Airblade, it is in fact much quieter, and unlike the Airblade it has a built-in drip tray so you can easily keep the washroom floors hygienically clean and safe.

In terms of hygiene, it is not only equipped with a HEPA air filter, but it subjects that filter to Ultraviolet light which kills any bacteria and viruses caught by the filter.

Design-wise, it is not angular like the Mitsubishi Slim but has a more curved shape.  Like the Mitsubishi, but not like the Dyson, it has switches (inside the cover so they can't be fiddled with) to allow you to adjust the heat and fan power settings to allow optimum comfort. This means you can turn down the power and/or heat setting which makes this more comfortable in the summer and economically ideal for any washroom.  It also has 25 seconds of continuous timer protection which prevents over-usage. Average running costs per year (with all the settings on their highest level) are just £35.

As you place your hands in the drying channel, an infrared sensor is used to automatically activate the dryer, and the air is cleaned by UV sterilisation with an easy-to-change HEPA air filter to help keep hassle to a minimum.  The dryer is intended for use in office, industrial and commercial environments and is one of the top 5 hand dryers to be used in a restaurant (but bear in mind, in common with all hands-in dryers, the Jetbox Blade hand dryer needs a little more space in the washroom than a hands-under dryer).

You're not spoilt for choice when it comes to colour though: the Jetbox Blade is only available in white with a black drying channel. As 80% of all hand dryers sold are white, this may not be too much of a problem.

Compared to any other hands-in dryer, the size of the unit (at H 566mm x W 296mm x D 164mm) is pretty average.

Summary

If you are looking for a hands-in dryer for a medium or low-traffic environment, this should definitely be on your shortlist. With a quick drying time, low noise output, adjustability and low running costs would make the JETBOX Blade hand dryer an ideal choice for many, so when you add in the fact that it is the cheapest hands-in hand dryer on the market, it looks extremely appealing.
