The Intergas 86504 is a genuine front plate seal designed to keep your Intergas boiler operating safely and efficiently. Sitting at the heart of the heat exchanger assembly, this small but safety-critical component forms an airtight barrier between the combustion chamber and the surrounding boiler internals, making it one of the most important service items on any Intergas appliance.
As the boiler fires, the front plate seal works continuously to ensure that combustion gases, including potentially harmful carbon monoxide, remain fully contained within the heat exchanger and are directed safely through the flue system. A seal that has cracked, compressed, or deteriorated over time can allow flue gases to escape into the wrong areas of the boiler, leading to safety hazards, persistent fault codes, and a noticeable drop in overall efficiency.
