Genuine Strada Products SPSA-02 0.16 litre shock arrestor with a 15mm compression nut, for stopping water hammer on potable cold water mains. Installation by a qualified plumber is recommended.
What it does
A shock arrestor is a small pre-charged vessel that absorbs the pressure spike when a tap or valve shuts off quickly, stopping the bang, vibration and damage of water hammer. Strada recommends it for potable cold water mains with composite hydroblocks, and for systems with quick shut-off taps or valves whose shockwaves travel through the pipework and boiler.
