Genuine Tesla TPS300 unival 11in plug-in dual safety thermostat. Immersion heaters and hot water cylinders taking a Tesla Unival 11 inch plug-in rod thermostat.
What it does
The thermostat holds the stored water at the set temperature and carries a safety cut-out that isolates the element if the control side sticks. The stem pushes into the pocket in the immersion heater head so it reads the water rather than the air around the boss. Water running scalding hot, or an immersion that will not heat at all when the element itself is sound, usually points at the thermostat.
