Is A Good Warranty Important?
Obviously, a warranty offered with a hand dryer for more than 2 years, or one which even provides for an engineer to come on-site and fix your dryer, can be a great thing to have.
And it is certainly the case that several newer dryers on the market have been offering very long warranties.
However, it is a basic fact that these warranties cost money, and so the price of a hand dryer with a very strong warranty will certainly be greater than the same dryer with a minimum warranty – and on some cases that might double the price of the unit!
And the other thing to bear in mind is that modern hand dryers are extremely reliable, and so if you are buying a dryer for use in a low – medium usage situation, then spending more to get a longer warranty may well not be good value for money.
On the other hand, for a hand dryer in a high usage area, which would cause significant inconvenience if it breaks down might be well worth the extra in the purchase price.
