There are hundreds of commercial hand dryers on the market, with more arriving each month. Much of our work is guiding customers through that maze, and in many cases saving them a considerable amount along the way.

Familiar names like the Dyson Airblade and the Warner Howard Airforce dominate public washrooms, but several lesser-known brands match them on performance and beat them on value. Recent years have brought real progress in noise levels, blade dryer design and drying speed. Budget Hand Dryers

You might be a contractor who has just been asked to buy a hand-drying unit, or you might have a low-usage washroom somewhere like a village hall. The type of dryer matters less than one thing: at this end of the market, it has to actually work. If it is too slow, people give up, leave wiping their hands on their jeans, and think twice about washing them at all next time - which defeats the point of moving away from paper towels.

The JETBOX Junior (shown on the right) is an extraordinary little unit, combining a remarkably low price with good performance. Not one for high traffic, but ideal for a pub or restaurant washroom.
The Budget hand dryer is a traditional unit that represents remarkable value for money, with an excellent specification.
The EL Warm from leading brand Warner Howard is an excellent quality dryer at a surprisingly good price.

High-Performance Hand Dryers

As usage goes up, build quality and running cost matter more than headline specifications. The three below earn their place on reliability and cost per dry.

Top of our list:

The Gorillo Ultra in silver from Handy Dryers - genuinely high-performing at 95 m/s and a 10-second dry, yet quieter than most in its class at 73dB. Reliable, economical and deservedly popular.
The PR Clean in nickel from Warner Howard - PHS (shown on the left), built for the heavier traffic of an office block, school or busy venue, with a finish that suits a washroom where appearance counts.
It might have an unfortunate name, but the Kangarillo 2 from Handy Dryers is an excellent alternative to more expensive dryers whilst still performing well. An automatic element varies heat output with the ambient temperature, available in multiple finishes.

If you want the absolute best, or your washroom needs to reinforce the image of your organisation, you are spoiled for choice. Our favourite is the Mitsubishi Jet Towel SMART - serious competition for the XLerator and the Dyson V on both purchase price and power consumption, and reliability that is second to none.

Where the washroom itself is the statement, the Dyson Airblade 9kJ is hard to beat on looks and brand recognition, drying hands in 10 seconds at 77dB. The Airblade V HU02 is the more affordable route to the same design language.
